About the program
The Bachelor of Psychology and Family Counseling responds to the growing need for specialists who understand human behavior and family relationships, and who help support the mental health of individuals and families.
Students study the foundations of psychology and human development; social, educational, cognitive and clinical psychology; theories of counseling and psychotherapy; family dynamics; counseling interview skills; psychological measurement; and family and marital counseling.
The program prepares graduates to work in family counseling centers and social and educational institutions, and to continue to postgraduate study in psychology and counseling.
Program outcomes
- Understand the foundations of psychology, theories of development, human behavior and family relationships.
- Know the theories of counseling and psychotherapy and their application in family and marital counseling.
- Conduct counseling interviews, and use and interpret psychological measurement tools according to professional standards.
- Analyze family and psychological problems, and propose suitable counseling and prevention plans.
- Design family awareness and psychological programs, and use digital technologies in counseling.
- Uphold the ethics of counseling and psychological practice, and communicate effectively with individuals, families and multidisciplinary teams.
