About the program
The Master of Digital Law prepares specialized legal professionals able to keep pace with rapid change in the digital environment and understand the legal challenges that technological progress creates.
The program combines traditional legal knowledge with developments linked to modern technologies such as artificial intelligence, data protection, cybersecurity, e-commerce and intellectual property in the digital space.
It focuses on local and international legislative and regulatory frameworks for the safe and responsible use of technology, enabling graduates to draft legislation and policy, provide advanced legal advice, and help protect rights and resolve disputes in the digital world professionally and in line with the latest international standards.
Program outcomes
- In-depth knowledge of advanced legal concepts and theories related to digital technology — privacy, data protection, intellectual property, electronic contracts and cybercrime — with the ability to distinguish and evaluate legal frameworks around the world through comparative models.
- Understand the impact of modern technologies such as AI, blockchain, cloud computing and advanced communications on legal systems, and analyze their implications for legislation and policy.
- Apply critical thinking and in-depth analysis to advanced legal research using local and international digital legislative tools and sources, and design innovative legal solutions to the challenges of digital transformation.
- Prepare and draft digital policies and legislation that meet the needs of organizations and governments, and provide specialized legal advice to technology firms, start-ups and FinTech projects.
- Work professionally with smart contract platforms and digital evidence, and collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary legal teams on complex digital cases.
- Uphold ethical and professional standards in handling data and providing legal services, and embrace lifelong learning to keep pace with rapid developments in law and technology.
