About the program

The Master of Digital Economy prepares leaders able to understand and analyze economic change in the digital revolution, combining the foundations of traditional economics with the latest digital technologies.

It gives students advanced knowledge in areas such as big data analytics, artificial intelligence, blockchain and digital currencies, with a focus on using these tools to support decision-making and economic policy design.

It also develops innovation and digital entrepreneurship skills, preparing graduates to lead in the digital economy locally and globally, in step with fast-moving markets and their future direction.

Program outcomes

  • Knowledge of classical and contemporary economic theories and their application to the digital economy, with a deep understanding of how technological innovation, AI, big data and blockchain affect economic activity.
  • Analyze the regulatory and legislative frameworks of digital markets and e-commerce, assess the impact of technology on economic growth, and identify the opportunities and risks of the digital economy.
  • Design innovative solutions to digital economic problems using quantitative and qualitative analysis, and interpret big economic data to support decisions in digital sectors.
  • Use data analysis and economic modeling software such as R, Python, Stata and MATLAB in research and applied projects, and build digital economic models to simulate markets and forecast trends.
  • Integrate technology tools into the analysis of digital value chains and the development of economic innovation, and prepare professional digital economic reports for decision-makers and investors.
  • Work effectively in multidisciplinary teams in virtual environments, uphold data and technology ethics, and embrace lifelong learning to keep pace with the digital economy.
